Listening, discussing, looking: these are the three gifts that Pope Francis asked of the Holy Spirit during the prayer vigil in preparation for the Extraordinary Synod on the Family, celebrated in St. Peter's Square last Saturday, so that they may illuminate the work of the Synod Fathers. Only in this way, "the three things: our listening and our discussion about the family, loved through Christ’s gaze, will become a providential opportunity for a renewal—following the example of Saint Francis—of the Church and of society."
