Argentina‘s Bishops invite the dioceses to respond to the questionnaire and to promote the big meeting in Philadelphia
The Argentine Bishops "encourage the participation of the faithful and of institutions, in accordance with the will of the Holy Father, who calls for a strong effort of collaboration by the whole Church in the pastoral care of families." With these words the Episcopal Commission for the Laity and Family (CELAF) of the Argentine Episcopal Conference invites the faithful to respond to the Questionnaire for the Synod on the Family, explaining that the responses should be submitted to the diocesan curia before March 1st. Then, the Episcopal Conference will send a single summary document to the General Secretariat of the Synod.
At the same time, Argentina is strongly encouraging participation in the next World Meeting of Families, in Philadelphia, and has announced four different travel proposals. In Philadelphia, the Argentine delegation will take part even in events that are not on the official program. "This meeting–explains Father Gustavo Antico, CELAF‘s Executive Secretary–will be an opportunity for study, conferences and reflections, celebrations and prayers with other people and families from all over the world. It will be–he concludes–a good occasion to rediscover the beauty and goodness of family and community life."
