10,000 registrations from around the world have already arrived for the meeting in Philadelphia. Registration for volunteers is open
Last Friday, the number of registrations for the Philadelphia World Meeting of Families surpassed 10,000. After the United States, the greatest number of participants are from the following countries: Canada (422), Vietnam (289), Pakistan (75), Puerto Rico (64), Australia (62), Congo (56), Haiti (53), Dominican Republic (53), Poland (47), and Costa Rica (47).
On the site, you cannot only register; materials of the Congress, both for adults and children, are also available there, along with the biographies of the experts who will speak. As to the registration of volunteers, it opened last week and there are already 2,000 registered: the goal is to reach at least 10,000 volunteers, whose help will be necessary, both during the meeting (22-25 September) and for the visit of the Pope (26 - 27 September).
This event—said Donna Crilley Farrell, Executive Director of the World Meeting of Families– Philadelphia 2015—will undoubtedly be one of the largest in Philadelphia’s history and we gratefully invite volunteers to play a special role in this event and to serve as the welcoming face of Philadelphia to all of our domestic and international guests."
