The report on reconciling work and family prepared by "The Family Watch" has been presented in Madrid
The report on the reconciliation of work and family was presented at a press conference on June 1st, the World Day of fathers and mothers. This study, coordinated by the International Institute for Family Studies "The Family Watch," was realized under the academic direction of Remei Agüelles, professor at the International University of Catalonia. The initiative intends to provide proposals for legislation, which would promote responsibility in the household, from a financial as well as a professional and social point of view. This shared responsibility will give special attention to the care of dependents, particularly children, in the household.
This conference, which took place at the headquarters of "The Family Watch" in Madrid, was attended by José María Olesti Luna, director general of "The Family Watch"; Remei Agüelles, academic director of the study; Cristina Junquera, in charge of Advocacy and Knowledge Management of UNICEF Spain; Javier Benavente, president of the PEA (the Spanish Association of personal services); and Sonsoles Vidal Herrero-Vior, lawyer and member of the virtual network of experts on violence against children created by the Ministry of Justice.
