The Family resource for society in a new video of the PCF
What do a Malawian family from Blantyre, Ismael and Aimee and their five children from Quezon City in the Philippines, and the Italian Piccolo family from Cosenza have in common?
Why do their stories intertwine with a magnificent Roman bust, a famous 15th-century painting, and the work of a contemporary American artist? RESOURCE The family is is a video of the Pontifical Council for the Family, produced by Federico Fazzuoli and Elisa Greco, presenting the results of the nine-fold sociological research project conducted in many countries around the world that show the social benefits offered by the family structure. Numbers, interviews, indicators, along with the stories collected in Africa, Europe and Asia, and exclusive commentaries by the director of the Vatican Museums Prof. Paolucci. Archbishop Vincenzo Paglia, President of the Pontifical Council for the Family, stated: "The families featured in the video, like every family, and precisely because they are families, contribute to the development and growth of the society they live in, to the point that even the language of art has not been able to omit celebrating their gift to mankind throughout the centuries." The family is desire, stability, wealth and happiness. And it is worth telling about! The video, produced Vercom-Green Communication and officially presented at the World Meeting of Philadelphia, is available in English and Spanish. The DVD can be ordered from the Pontifical Council for the Family. A web version is available for download on the YouTube channel of the Dicastery Pontificium Consilium pro Familia.
