Five thousand people, together with the Bishop of Cuernavaca, at the march for peace and the family, asking that the violence be stopped
In recent days, nearly five thousand people—mostly Catholics—walked down the streets of Cuernavaca in the “March for Peace and the Family,” sponsored by the Bishop of Cuernavaca, Morelos, Msgr. Ramon Castro, asking for a stop to the violence that is shaking the State. Families, church groups, lay organizations and religious communities carried flowers, flags, colorful covers and signs with slogans. Almost all dressed in white, sang slogans in favor of peace. Every now and then the procession stopped to listen to interventions on the urgent need to stop the violence and crime. Among the most important statements were those of parents concerned about the safety of their children inside and outside of the schools.
