Vasile, Ambassador of the children in the suburbs of Europe, tells his story in Trieste
Last September, he wrote a letter to the Pope, asking him if he could call him “dad.” Shortly after that, he was invited to the Vatican and met Bergoglio. Young Vasile, an eleven year old Moldovan orphan, ambassador of the children in the suburbs of Europe, will tell his story and about his encounter with Pope Francis during a conference on “A European and Christian Moldova. The commitment after the Vilnius Agreement between Moldova and the European Union.” The event, sponsored by the Mission Moldova movement, will take place on March 14th and 15th, in Trieste at the Impact Hub (via di Cavana, 14). The attached folder contains Vasile’s story, his letter and an interview with the director of the family home Regina Pacis in Chisinau, Moldova, where the boy lives. On the same occasion, the Moldovan-Italian edition of the book “The Children of Europe Speak to Pope Francis” will be presented; this book contains drawings and messages written by boys and girls who live in the suburbs of European cities. The Italian-English and Portuguese-English editions may be obtained from the Council of European Bishops’ Conferences, through the website www.ccee.eu.
