Grandparents and elderly people who cannot be at St. Peter’s Square on September 28th will still have the opportunity to take part in their celebration thanks to television, radio and internet
Rai1 and SkyTg24 will cover the event from 9:30 to 12:30, while Telepace will begin broadcasting form the Square one hour earlier and so also transmit the time dedicated to testimonies related to old age. Even TV2000 will transmit the day of celebration, starting at 9:10 am.
Those who want to participate in the meeting through radio can listen to the first commentary on Radio Vaticana, in Italian on 105 FM in Rome and the province, on Medium Wave of OM 585 in Roma and Lazio, as well as on Dab+, channel 7B, channel 12D in Rome and the province, on channel 13D in Italy. Those with an Android device, iPhone or WindowsPhone, may also use the Vatican Radio app, available on these two web pages: http://rv.va/android and http://rv.va/iphone . Another tool available is the Vatican Player via the Internet, with the live audio-video option and language selection (http://player.rv.va ). Audio streaming will also be offered on Vatican Radio’s website (www.radiovaticana.va ) in Portuguese (channel 4), Italian (channel 5), Spanish (channel 6), French (channel 7), English (Channel 9) and German (channel 10). Via satellite, finally, television and radio stations (not permitted for domestic use) may rebroadcast the comments in Spanish and Portuguese, provided by Vatican Radio.
