The new website of the Pontifical Council for the Family opens with the Pope’s blessing. Simultaneously with our launching, the Holy Father granted an audience to our President, Mons. Vincenzo Paglia. During the encounter —the first one since he assumed the direction of the Vatican Dicastery for the family— Mons. Paglia presented to Benedict XVI the course of preparation that will lead to the next World Meeting of Families, in Philadelphia in 2015, and the initiatives planned for the Year of Faith, in particular, the Congress of legal experts (in the spring) and the Plenary Assembly of the PCF on the same theme of family rights (23-26 October). The Plenary will conclude with the International Pilgrimage of families (26-27 October) and the meeting with the Pope in St. Peter‘s Square.
