Declaration of the Bishops’ Conference of Ecuador.
 
On the occasion of the coming elections, the Ecuadorian Bishops have addressed a declaration to the Catholics of Ecuador and to all people of good will.
“As pastors we have the right and the duty to illuminate the social, political and economic realities with the Gospel and the Church’s Social Doctrine, proclaiming the values of the God’s Kingdom: life, freedom, justice, solidarity and peace (cf. Second Vatican Council, Pastoral Constitution Gaudium et Spes No. 1).”
