Italian bishops on "ad Limina"

The bishops of Abruzzo, Molise and Basilicata, met with the Pontifical Council for the Family in the context of the ad limina visit to the Pope and the Dicasteries of the Holy See, which recently began and will continue until May, when Benedict XVI will address all the Italian bishops gathered for the meeting. In the course of the encounter with our Council information exchanged on the on-going pastoral ministry for the family ministry in the different regions and about the activities of the Council for the Family in 2013. In particular, the President drew attention to the main initiatives promoted in 2013 by the Dicastery on the occasion of the Thirtieth Anniversary of the Charter of Fundamental Rights of the Family (a convention of Catholic jurists in late June, the Plenary Assembly at the end of October, which will conclude with a Pilgrimage of Families and an encounter with the Holy Father, a series of meetings for the presentation of the Charter in main international seats). Finally, the Dicastery’s new internet site was presented to the bishops as well as the most recent publications and videos, including the book of the Acts of the Meeting in Milan.
