The President of the Dicastery, Archbishop Vincenzo Paglia, presided, on Friday, June 14th, in Santa Maria in Trastevere, a Mass with the Official Delegation of “Priest for Life,” in Rome for the Day Celebrating the Evangelium Vitae. In his homily, Msgr. Paglia once again posed the crucial question of Christian testimony for building a culture of life: “What does it mean to give new life to our modern world' What does it mean to work to help women and men become mothers and fathers again, in a world that often refuses maternity and paternity?” and he indicated the mutual self-giving of the spouses as one of the places where the logic of gratuitousness of life manifests itself in all its force.
 
The Undersecretary, Msgr. Carlos Simón Vázquez, on the other hand, held one of the five catechesis for the language groups, programmed on Saturday morning, June 15th. In the church of Saint Anthony, Msgr. Simón Vázquez showed, in the catechesis addressed to the Spanish-speaking faithful, how the family is the sanctuary, cradle and people of life.
