Can a Crushed Person Live
All the families in prayer with Pope Francis on the pilgrimage to Assisi, on Friday October 4th 2013

All the families are united in prayer with Pope Francis, on the pilgrimage with him to Assisi on October 4th, so that St. Francis and St. Clare may help us to renew the freshness of the evangelical proposal and our membership in the Church.
In an interview with Eugenio Scalfari, Pope Francis indicated the unemployment of the young and the solitude of the elderly as the biggest challenge that the Church faces today.

«The most serious evils that have come to afflict the world in recent years are unemployment of the young and the solitude in which the elderly are left. The elderly need care and companionship, and the young work and hope; but they have neither, and the trouble is that most of them don’t seek them. They are stuck to the present. Tell me: can a person live crushed under the weight of the present? Without a memory of the past and without the desire to look ahead to the future by building something, a future, a family? Can one go on like this? This, in my view, is the most urgent problem that the Church is facing today».
