Msgr. Korir states, “the church upholds the unity of marriage but our principles of Christianity abhor polygamy and if the Bill becomes law, family values would be greatly eroded.” With this message Msgr. Cornelius Korir, bishop of the catholic diocese di Eldoret, had requested President Uhuru Kenyatta not to assent to the bill regarding poligamy, which has been approved by Parliament.
