The Polish Pope spoke, in this Angelus in 1999, about the ambivalent situation in which the elderly now find themselves living. While, on one hand, they are in fact marginalized, less and less tied to the family and to society, on the other hand, they are increasingly solicited to help with the education of children and adolescents.
