"Throughout the world, the Church has turned the spotlight on the family in view of the World Meeting and next October's Synod. Canção Nova could not be absent," the members of the community explained at the presentation of 2015's events, which have begun with Masses devoted to the family in February. Every Monday, at 3:00 pm, the celebration of Holy Mass is transmitted via radio, television and internet: the intentions are focused on a different theme each week, including marriage in general, the relationship between spouses and that between fathers and children.
At the meetings, the following issues will be addressed: the identity of sexual orientation and gender ideology, April 17th to 19th; reflection for couples on the theme "Marriage, an Instrument of Holiness," May 15th to 17th; in June (12th-14th), the meeting will be dedicated to the theology of the body, and the retreat from 24 to 26 July will be on the theme: "I take you for my whole life." After the summer break, the meetings will begin again on 2 to 4 October, on the theme "Believing in the Family Builds the Future." The last meeting, scheduled for October 18th, dedicated to children, has the theme "I Want to Be a Friend of Jesus." Finally, "the community is working to receive with love all the pilgrims and, therefore, it is preparing an appropriate structure in joyful and friendly surroundings."
