The most recent studies on the family promoted, on the one hand, by "La Civilta Cattolica" and, on the other, by the Pontifical Council for the Family are included in a panel discussion scheduled for Saturday, September 12, at 6:30 pm, at the headquarters of the Jesuit magazine in Rome.
The theme of the meeting, held in conjunction with the release of the book Famiglia, un ospedale da campo (The Family: A Field Hospital), edited by the Jesuit Fathers, and Famiglia e Chiesa, un legame indissolubile (Family and Church: An Unbreakable Bond), published by the PCF, will be "The Family: Vocation and Challenges. A Reflection on the Threshold of the Synod of Bishops." The work will be introduced by the President of the PCF, Archbishop Vincenzo Paglia, and the moderator will be Father Antonio Spadaro, director of "La Civilta Cattolica."
Three highly qualified lectures will be given by Chiara Giaccardi, sociologist; Massimo Recalcati, psychoanalyst; and Pierangelo Sequeri, theologian.
