In a series of six meetings, from 29 September 2015 to 22 April 2016, professors and scholars from around the world will reflect on the most topical and pressing aspects concerning the family. These "Events" are organized for the academic year 2015-2016 by the Pontifical John Paul II Institute for Studies on Marriage and Family.
The path, in six stages, will begin on 29 September, with the study seminar entitled "European Islam and the Western Family: What Impact, What Synergies?" Then, on 27 October, the academic year will be opened with the inaugural lecture "Faith, Family and Finance Today," by Cardinal George Pell, Prefect of Vatican Secretariat for the Economy. The next three meetings will focus on "The Family, Key of the Church-World Dialogue: On the 50th Anniversary of Gaudium et Spes" (19-20 November), "The Constitution of the European States in Matters of Marriage and Family Legislation" (30 November-2 December), and "'Practices' of a Good Life for a Culture of the Family" (8-12 February). The "Events" will finally end on 22 April with a theological symposium entitled "Marriage, Cornerstone of the Sacramental Economy."
