How can the intrinsic value of the faithfulness to the marital bond be maintained and indissolubility be harmonized with the various paths of forgiveness? Theological and pastoral research cannot ignore the deep sacramental reality of the spouses' commitment. In the article "Indissolubilité: une fenêtre ouverte vers le ciel," the Jesuit Alain Mattheuws reflects on some ways, while taking into account the reality of the sacramental grace that expresses Christ's bond to his spouse, the Church, and the conciliar theology of sacramental analogies and the Church-Sacrament.
