Dear Pope, I’m writing to you   versione testuale
A volume containing some of the most beautiful letters sent to Francis by children from around the world is in the bookstores

"Dear Pope Francis". This is how children around the world address to Pope Francis the thousands of letters that are received each week in the Vatican. The anthology of "Letters to Pope Francis" (Carlo Gallucci Publisher, 156 pages), edited by TG5's Vatican expert, Alessandra Buzzetti, is now in the bookstores. The proceeds from the sales of this book will be donated to benefit children cared for in the Santa Marta Dispensary, next door to Francis' residence, where help is given each day to nearly five hundred needy children and their families. The Pope's young pen pals write their letters by hand, and send them with small gifts or teddies. Among their drawings and some grammatical mistakes, glimpses of daily life emerge, recounted by the simple but deep look of the youngest: "Sometimes in the evening at dinner my mom doesn't eat and says she's on a diet, but that's not true. She eats our leftovers," says Matthew. One asks the Pope to find a job for his father who has ended up in jail, and another asks for prayers of healing; little Aziz asks for forgiveness: "I am very sorry for the Christian couple that was burned alive ... please forgive me and Pakistan."
