"The passages of pain in the family" is the theme of the lecture that Fr. Louis Zucaro, chaplain of the Bambino Gesù Children's Hospital, will give at the Pontifical Lateran University on Wednesday, November 18th, on the occasion of the meetings held in the context of the training course on family ministry proposed by the John Paul II Institute for Studies on Marriage and Family. The next meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, November 24th, with the couple Bruno and Rita Caldana, who will speak about "Family in Mission."
The idea, as the dean Msgr. Livio Melina explained at the opening of the academic year, is "to gather with open hearts the fruits of the progress made at Synod, for the renewal of family ministry. The theme of the family, as Pope Francis recently reiterated in Philadelphia, during the World Meeting of Families, is central to the life of the Church in its mission in the contemporary world. In this mission, more than ever a 'pastoral light' is necessary, that is a ministry that illuminates the streets of men and women, of Christian families, with the light of the truth of God's plan."
