Starting today, on the Flickr pages of the Pontifical Council for the Family (
www.flickr.com), you can see the drawings made by the children to present their families to Pope Francis. They were collected by the Dicastery on the occasion of the Pilgrimage of the Families to the Tomb of St. Peter (26 and 27 October 2013).
Over 5,000 primary school children, between 5 and 11 years of age, participated in the initiative—which was not a competition and so there’s no winner. The pictures were all delivered to Pope Francis in a USB key, during the audience of the Pontiff with the Pontifical Council for the Family at the conclusion of the Dicastery’s Plenary Assembly, on Friday October 25th. A wide selection, which respects the privacy of all, is posted on Flickr.
