On Monday morning, January 20th, Pope Francis received in audience Msgr. Vincenzo Paglia, President of the Pontifical Council for the Family. During the meeting, Archbishop Paglia presented to the Holy Father the various initiatives of the Dicastery in view of the Synod of Bishops on the family, which will be celebrated in October 2014. These include, among other things, the audience with more than eight thousand engaged couples for the liturgical feast of Saint Valentine on February 14th, conferences and study days for the Year of the Family organized by the United Nations, the publication of “
Enchiridion”, which assembles all the official documents on family and life from Pope Leo XIII to Pope Francis, and the International Day of Older Persons, which will be in September this year.
