A Website for Your Couple: Matrimonio.org   versione testuale

The United States Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB), opened a website on February 16th, 2010: www.portumatrimonio.org  where, in recent years, the Hispanic community has found tools that help its members to choose, develop and reinforce the option of the sacrament of marriage in their lives.

Each day, on this site, many people read articles by experts from various dioceses on topics related to marriage and the family that provide necessary means for developing the work that parishes accomplish in the field of family ministry.
One of the most dynamic instruments of this site is its blog: http://www.portumatrimonio.blogspot.com/  where the animating couples place their thoughts and recommendations for continuously cultivating the option of marriage. Since 2013, each Wednesday, the couple Andrea Blanco y William Cardona-Arias—who work for the Diocese of Raleigh, North Caroline, in the Family Pastoral of the Office of Hispanic Ministry—propose a variety of reflections on current social issues that have an incidence marriage and family life.
The experience they have gained through their cooperation in the projects and premarital courses: “Yes I do,” at meetings with couples: “Happiness, the Great Harvest in Marriage” and in schools for parents: “Strengthening the family through the Parish” has served them to create this blog; there, even in moments of darkness for the family, every spouse may find guidance for cultivating and protecting his or her “domestic church.”
