A Delegation from the Philadelphia Organizing Committee of the Eighth World Meeting of Families visited Milan recently to confer with the 2012 organizers of the Seventh World Meeting and to visit the venues where the 2012 events took place.
The Philadelphia Delegation was led by Donna Farrell, Executive Director of the Eighth Meeting’s organizing body and was accompanied by Father William Donovan, a priest of the Archdiocese of Philadelphia assigned to the Pontifical Council for the Family to assist in organizing the Meeting.
The Delegation visited, among other locations, the site of the Theological Conference and the place where the Holy Father celebrated Mass and met with the participants. They also interviewed some fifteen representatives from the various sectors of the 2012 Meeting, which was under the general leadership of Monsignor Bruno Marinoni, Moderator of the Curia of the Archdiocese of Milan.
