Her funeral Mass took place in the afternoon of the 4th May, at the historical Monastery of Casamari (Frosinone). Presided by H.E. Msgr. Paglia, the solemn Eucharist was concelebrated also by H.E. Msgr. Ambrogio Spreafico, Bishop of Frosinone-Verol-Ferentino, H.E. Msgr. Matteo Zuppi , Auxiliary Bishop of Rome, and H.E. Msgr. Jean Lafitte, Secretary of the Pontifical Council for the Family. Additionally, the Dicastery’s Under-Secretary, the Head of Office, and more than fifty other priests closed to the Archbishop and his family concelebrated at Mrs. Cinelli Paglia’s funeral mass.
Present also at the liturgical celebration were various officials of the Pontifical Council for the Family and many members of the Community of Sant’Egidio who came from Rome, Naples, and other cities and towns of Italy.
Mrs. Cinelli Paglia died peacefully at her home in Boville (Frosinone) at 10:20 a.m. on Saturday the 3rd of May, at the age of 94. Her body has been laid to rest in her family vault, next to her husband’s remains. Please pray for the repose of her soul.
