"Love is our mission: the family fully alive”, this is the theme of next year’s World Meeting of Families slated to take place in Philadelphia, USA, chosen by the Holy Father Pope Francis. The Archbishop of Philadelphia, Charles J. Chaput, was joined by the President of the Pontifical Council for the Family, Archbishop Vincenzo Paglia, Tuesday at a press conference to launch the theme which is inspired by the words of the early Church father, St. Irenaeus, "the glory of God is man fully alive," the conference theme reflects the central role of the family in teaching people how to receive and give love.
Also attending the launch at the Independence Visitors Center, overlooking Independence Hall - one of the world's great symbols of religious freedom - were Pennsylvania Governor Tom Corbett and Philadelphia Mayor Michael Nutter, both Honorary Co-Chairs for the World Meeting of Families - Philadelphia 2015.
