This year, Pompeii will host the VII National Pilgrimage of families for the family, centered on the theme "’Male and female God created them’"(Gen 5.1): The Family before the Will of God." This event, sponsored by Renewal in the Spirit, will as usual bring together thousands of families from all over Italy.
The encounter is scheduled to begin on Saturday, September 13th, at 2:00 pm, in the market area of Scafati, with a moment of animation, prayer and singing under the direction of the National Service of music and singing of the Renewal in the Spirit; a series of interventions will then prepare the participants for the pilgrimage itself, which—under the protection of the Virgin of the Rosary—will lead the families from Scafati to the Piazza del Santuario in Pompeii. After meeting with the city's bishop, Msgr. Tommaso Caputo, the day will conclude at 7:00 pm with Holy Mass, presided by Archbishop Vincenzo Paglia, President of the Pontifical Council for the Family.
