Prayer during the Synod 
During the days of the Synod of Bishops on the Family, at the request of the Secretariat, the Pontifical Council for the Family has animated the evening prayer of the Rosary and the Mass in the Basilica of Santa Maria Maggiore, at the altar of the Salus Populi Romani, on Wednesdays from 8 to 15 October. The reflection proposed for the introduction to the mysteries of the Rosary offered texts, edited by Dr. Monacchi, from the main documents of the Magisterium on the family and life. The Eucharistic celebrations were presided by the Dicaster’s ySecretary, H.E. Msgr. Jean Laffitte, and Undersecretary, Msgr. Carlos Simon Vasquez. Bishop Laffitte focused his homily on the task that the Church must fulfill in the Synod, that is understand and spread the Lord's will for the family. Attached here is Msgr.
