In 1980, as a guest of West Germany, Pope John Paul II speaks about the vocation of the elderly


Wisdom is at the service of the common good, like a beacon radiating hope and love for the youth. The Polish saint and Pope says this in a discourse in 1980, in which he highlights the irreplaceable role of the elderly in helping others, while not hiding from them all the difficulties associated with old age and its fragility.
