This is Pope Francis’ Message for the President of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin, who is also the President of the G20, this year, in Saint Petersburg. A special regard of The Pope was for «the dramatic situation of the beloved Syrian people». To all the Heads of State and Government Pope Bergoglio makes «a heartfelt appeal to help find way to overcome the conflicting positions and to lay aside the futile pursuit of a military solution. Rather, let there be a renewed commitment to seek, with courage and determination, a peaceful solution through dialogue and negotiations of the parties, unanimously supported by the international Community».
