Africa in View of the Synod
Bishops and scholars from Africa are meeting in Cotonou to prepare the continent’s proposals on the future of the family
From June 14th to 17th, a delegation of Bishops and scholars from a dozen African countries will be meeting at the John Paul II Institute in Cotonou, Benin, to prepare the contribution of the African Church to the Synod. In response to the expectations of contemporary society, they will formulate the continent’s proposals on the future of the family, starting with the Gospel and African cultural values to support and promote Christian families, who are called to face, in the joy of the Gospel, today’s challenges.
